Self Care Vampire is an upcoming mobile romance game where the more you take care of yourself, the better you'll taste for your immortal companion. Our goal is to make the act of self care something delicious and motivating. Players set their own personal tasks and schedule, deepening their bonds with supernatural characters with daily progress.

Self Care Vampire is in development for iOS and Android. We’d love to explore other platforms in future, but there is no current plan or timeline for this as we’re a very small dev team.

The game is currently in early access (essentially beta testing). We’re aiming for a first full launch later in 2026, but don’t have an exact timeline for this yet! Once Self Care Vampire has a full launch, we will still regularly update the game.

Yes. We have exciting plans to add other supernatural characters of various types and other genders, but we need to build and test the core features of the game and its universe first. We’ll be sure to keep folks updated with additional character plans! Victor the werewolf will be the first romance option in addition to Elijah, and we'll announce when his romance update is live on our social channels and email mailing list!

Yes! It’s very important to us that the self care benefits of this game are free and easy to access for as many folks as possible. We pay our team and collaborators fairly, so there are optional in-app purchases and also merch outside of Self Care Vampire to support our development.

The recommended age rating of Self Care Vampire is 16+. As a game with dark romance themes, the experience is ‘spicy’ without being NSFW. Players can expect flirtation and intimacy, but the game doesn’t include direct sexually explicit writing or visuals.

We’d love to be able to do this in future, but we have to get the core game experience working in English and see how far we can go in our development first, before looking at localisation for more languages.

Yes absolutely, we fully support it and it really helps the game! You can share any game content, your fanworks, or anything you like. Please share anything you post with us, and we may be able to signal boost it!

We love and support our players shipping our 18+ characters with each other - whether romantic, platonic or otherwise. Tell us about your headcanons, we’d love to hear them! Our community can also ship our characters with their OCs, themselves, etc. We’re openly pro-LGBTQIA+ and don’t support aggression between community members for different views on character ships, please be kind with each other.

Currently the maximum Bond Level with Elijah is 9, and this will be increased with future updates as we progress our development.

We'd love to explore this in future, it makes balancing Resonance rewards and progression a bit tricky, but we do want to look into this and experiment in future.

We love working with our voice talent! Our romanceable character voice actors have chosen to remain anonymous at this time for their own privacy. For other voice talent who are named, please check our credits in the Settings menu. Please always be respectful and kind towards the actors, artists, writers etc that we collaborate with.

We're planning to add this as an option in the Settings menu in a future update, please keep an eye out!

No it is not, and we ask our community to never put Self Care Vampire art, video, voice or writing into gen AI tools, or use these tools to create Self Care Vampire fanworks.

These update every few days. If your coffin message hasn't changed in 4 days, please send us a support log via the button in the settings menu of the game. Thank you in advance!

If you have a question or issue not covered by this FAQ, please tap the cog icon in the game, that brings up the settings menu - then look for a section that says Report, and there's a button with an arrow. Filling this out with details of your error and sending it essentially 'uploads' some of your player data, and registers the issue so we can look at how we might be able to fix it, and how common or rare certain bugs are. It's a big help for us!
